SPOILERS FOR STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS
Hey guys! So I just saw the new Star Trek movie yesterday and it was awesome! Anyways, I love the character Spock and when I watched him use a mind meld on Khan when they were fighting, this is the kind of story that played through my mind. Hope you enjoy! :)
A boiling rage courses through Spock as he finally lands a solid punch on Khan's face. There is no more thinking, no more strategizing, no more logic, there is only his need to kill the other man on top of this civilian transport.
He had only felt this way one other time in his life: when Nero had destroyed his home planet, Vulcan, along with it's estimated six billion inhabitants. However, the pain he felt right now is due to the death of only one person, and one person alone.
Spock let out a profound grunt as he tackled the other man to the ground, effectively pinning Khan for the time being. Khan began flailing his arms, trying to find purchase on any part of Spock to gain leverage, but it was proving to be difficult for him. Spock had placed his forearm firmly on Khan's neck, holding him in place while he wailed on the man's face.
Spock was just about to land another blow when Khan suddenly looped his leg around the Vulcan's and swiftly switched their positions. Now Spock was the one pinned on the ground, Khan wringing his neck to cut off his oxygen supply. Spock tried to do what he could, but it soon became clear that he was about to lose. However, as his vision began to swim and his head throb, Spock had an idea as a last ditch effort to survive.
The Vulcan stuck out his hand, immediately latching on to the superhuman's face. Khan didn't see the action coming, but as Spock tried to reposition his fingers, he realized what the man was doing. Khan tried to pull his face away, but it was too late, Spock had already connected them through a mind meld.
The wave of pain, hate, anger, and sadness that Spock sent through the connection would have had anyone but Khan flat on their backs, barely breathing. But seeing as it was Khan, the human held on to Spock's throat and tried to endure it.
Not milliseconds had passed and soon the waves of emotions carried words with them. A wave of rage: murderer. A wave of pain: my friend. A wave sadness: my family. It repeated relentlessly, over and over again, and soon enough, he could not take it anymore.
With tears in his eyes, Khan yanked away from the Vulcan and fell on his back, relieved of the feelings Spock had sent his way. He took deep breaths to try and calm himself before glancing in the direction of the newly appointed Captain. He was still laying on his back, coughing as he tried to regain his lost oxygen. Khan couldn't help but feel slightly sorry for what he had done to this man, but only slightly.
Now recovered, Khan quickly got on his feet and watched as the Vulcan slowly sat up and glared menacingly at his opponent. Khan took a moment to debate before shooting Spock the tiniest of look of pity and jumping off the transporter onto one that had conveniently been flying just below.
If the Vulcan was smart, he wouldn't follow him.
Good? Bad? Did I write this in literally 45 minutes on only my phone? (I'll give you a hint: Yes.)
Please inform me of any mistakes. Thanks :)
