A Brother's Duty

When the turtles' sister Dani gets in trouble, her brother Raph has to fulfill his brotherly duties and protect her.

Another one-shot that crawled into my brain. These help my creative juices flow.

Raph's POV

Man, there is nothing like running across the rooftops on a cold evening. It wasn't too late, not even too late for my little sister Danielle's curfew. But my youngest bother Mikey had been bugging the hell outta me, so to avoid caving his head in, I decided to go out for a run.

That's when I heard a familiar voice snarl, 'What do you want with me, you Purple Dragon scum?'

I crouched down at the edge of an apartment building to see Dani in an alley, surrounded by three PD's. I growled, what did they think they were doing with my sis?

A PD with blue, spiky hair and multiple piercings said, 'Relax, pretty little lady, we just want to have a chat!'

I clenched my teeth, Pretty little lady, really? An eleven-year-old kid? Sickos, much?

Another PD, with a baseball cap and all denim on, added, 'Yeah, we just wanted to see what such a cute babe was doing all alone out here.'

My fist clenched. CUTE BABE? That was my baby sister, the sick perverts! If they even TRY to touch her, I'll murder them!

Dani kept a hand in her back pocket, where I knew she carried smoke pellets, made by our family's ingenious middle boy, Donnie, and throwing stars. I also knew she carried a sword on her back, hidden under her shirt, at all times; our oldest bro Leo made sure of that. She'd use them if she had to, but she wouldn't have to if I had anything to say about it.

She grimaced, 'I'm just heading home, and my family is prob waiting up, so if you'll excuse me…' D tried to push her way out but Blue Spikes and Denim Boy grabbed her by the arms, pinning her against the wall despite her struggles.

My eyes blazed as the third PD, the tallest with long blond hair and a leather jacket, stepped forward and cupped my Dani's face in his hands, 'For the next hour, you are ours. Just surrender to us, and I promise to go easy on you.'

I was in a mad state of rage now. She ain't your ANYTHING! She's MY baby, you bastard!

Dani's eyes widened, looking terrified. I'd seen enough.

I jumped off my perch, kicking Blondie to the ground as I landed in front of Dani and the other PD's. As the idiot perverts paled, Dani grinned slightly in relief.

I looked at the scum bags, twirling my sais threateningly, 'You can either let my baby sis go and leave now, never bothering her again, or I'll make SURE you regret it.'

The duo looked at each other, and then dropped Dani, running away and leaving their unconscious friend behind.

I stepped up to my sis, 'You okay, kiddo?' I checked her over, making sure she wasn't hurt…

Dani smiled, 'Thanks to you, I'm fine! You saved me, Raphie!' She hugged me tight around the waist and I rubbed her hair, replying, 'It's my job, sweetie. Big bros gotta protect their baby sisters from perverts like them.'

Thinking for a moment, I added, 'But we don't have to tell our other bros. Leo'll probably lock ya in the lair forever.'

Dani beamed at me as I took her hand, a small grin on my face, and we ran across the rooftops home.

We walked into the lair to find Mikey sitting on the couch playing video games. When he saw us, he smiled, 'Raphie, sis! What's up guys?'

I shrugged and Dani said, 'Nothing.'

'There you two are' Leo said in relief as he walked into the room with Donnie.

Leo wrapped an arm around D, 'What have you two been up to?'

We both shrugged and grinned at each other, as Donnie and Leo glanced at each other in confusion.

I'm sure my sis and me were thinking the same thing-
