Cedric stared after the bushy haired fourth year. He had fallen for her, hard. His friend made the comment that he looked like he had just drank a love potion. Maybe that is what had happened. Cedric could not tell when all of a sudden he realized Hermione Granger existed. He was, after all, a good deal older than she was. Not that it mattered. He had fallen, and it is hard to get up after a fall like that.

Hermione remembers the day Cedric came to visit her in the library. He told her that a girl as pretty as she needed sunlight every once in a while. Stunned, Hermione let Cedric take her hand and lead her to the lake. Older girls stared in awe and jealous. Some rolled their eyes, some looked bad. Still stunned, Hermione listened to what Cedric had been trying to tell her since he saw her leave the train on September first, when the sheer beauty of Hermione left him speechless until bedtime.

Hermione could not think straight when Harry came back with the lifeless body of her honest to god soul mate. Cedric was her everything, and now he was gone. Hermione tried to move on, but every time she tried, she compared them to Cedric. When they kissed, Hermione tasted Cedric on her lips. Hermione thinks of Cedric constantly. She cannot help but wonder what would have happened if Cedric had not made it to the Cup in the center of the maze. If he had not been chosen for the Tournament. But she tries to move on, but it is hard to move on when you have hard perfection.
