A/N: This poem wasn't originally supposed to be YYH-related...but I started thinking about it and realized it reminded me of Sayakka from the manga. It's a depressing poem about her thoughts on being alone and losing love.
no more tears
Here she sits, surrounded by her loneliness.
gazing out the windows,
empty inside, desolate, devoid of feeling.
she doesn't see what lies ahead
what went behind,
trapped instead in her own head
the same sad music playing over and over
it's melancholy refrain.
"I used to be the one who held your hand
I was the one who'd understand.
You never left my broken heart
but stayed inside, to tear me apart.
It's over and gone
all's said and done
the ship's pulled out
we've had our fun
and now things will never be the same"
Here she sits,
staring into the mirror
wondering how he could've left
eyes that show no feeling
lips that pucker and tremble
and a heart that's falling apart.
she misses him.
without him there, she's not complete
an imperfectly fashioned puzzle
and one piece missing which would make it all alright.
she misses him.
the tears poise, ready to fall.
she sees him walk on by,
some other girl hanging now on his arm.
He doesn't see her as he passes by
his laughter left to trail behind
and echo in her ears.
the tears grow hot, and threaten to fall.
she misses him.
and now he's left, she vows to move on
and blinks until all tears are gone.
A/N: Well, that's it. You don't see Sayakka written about very often. And if it doesn't seem to fit perfectly with the series, remember it wasn't originally supposed to. I hope everyone liked it. Now it's review time. So...review if you liked it. Or if you don't. Flames will be used to make s'mores. (grins)
