Common Interests

"No! I refuse to believe this!" Chat Noir cried as Ladybug laughed good naturedly.

Neither of them was sure how it started but somehow after an akuma attack they ended up talking a bit before having to leave and they found out they both liked video-games.

Tthe next thing Ladybug knew Chat greeted her the next patrol with a portable gaming system and offered the idea that they could play a little after they were done checking out the city and she agreed.

"I didn't know you were such a sore loser, Chaton." she teased.

"It's not that! It's the way I lose! There's such a large difference so of course that hurts my pride!" Chat scoffed, crossing his arms maturely.

"Don't you mean purr-ide?" Ladybug rose an eyebrow with a grin which grew at the unimpressed look he gave her.

"My lady, while I would normally be delighted at you making a pun, right now am I too upset for that!" Chat pouted and she laughed.

"Oh, come on, Chat! It can't be that bad!" she tried to cheer her partner up and he sighed.

"Yeah, I know it's shouldn't be such a big deal but it's just that some time ago I found out a friend of mine also likes video-games and she's great at them and while I'm really glad it actually made us a little closer, she keeps beating me just as badly as you do and while I honestly don't mind losing, being beaten again and again without getting one win in is a real blow to me skills." he explained himself.

Ladybug blinked at the familiar sounding story before shaking her head a little.

"Well, how about another round of Mario Kart?" she suggested, having learned it to be one of his favorite games.

"Why? So you can beat me again?" Chat whined.

"No, so you might win this time! We can even race on the road your best at!" Ladbug shook and head and waved her hands only to stop when she realised how what she said might have sounded.

"You really think me winning by you giving me some unfair advantage would make me feel better?" Chat also realised it and gave her a small glare.

"No! Nononono! I'm sorry! You're right, that would mean nothing to you! I shouldn't have suggested that!" she quickly apologised and Chat rolled his eyes, obviously annoyed at her.

Ladybug tapped her chin as she tried to think up another way to cheer him up.

She snapped her fingers when an idea shot into her head, drawing Chat's attention again.

"What?" he simply asked and she grinned.

"How about we race on Rainbow Road?" she offered as her grin grew.

"That's the hardest road in the whole game." he frowned at her.

"I know but how about this..." she purposely stretched out, enjoying how he visibly grew more curious.

"If you somehow win I'll give you a kiss on the cheek!" she almost laughed as a grin that matched her own appeared on his face.

"Deal!" he agreed and soon they were playing again.

Due to his new determination he did much better then any of the games before and almost won but Ladybug still managed to beat him, if only by half a second.

Still, even after he lost again, Chat still got his kiss before she left.
