A.N. So this is going to be a small series of chapters for one of my closest friends. So if you don't like it then good its not for you anyway. Some chapters will be short like this one others won't be. I don't own Fruits Basket or its characters.

An Alternate Reality

Chapter 1

You think you know of things about the world we live in but you have it all wrong. You think you know everything there is to know about our universe but scientists aren't wrong when it comes to our world and universe. We do not know everything and we are not alone.

And we are not the only the universe either.

Not by a long shot. A theory once ruled as a crazy theory by a scientist that has once gone mad has declared that with every story that is created a universe. It goes along with the multi-verse theory. Well this crazy scientist? He's created a machine to send someone to these dimensions. But it has malfunctioned.

Sending Nat on the ride or her life...or perhaps even dreams. The explosion on a small beach in Saint Augustine Florida has created a rip in the dimensions. The machine this scientist created was meant to be tested on himself and only himself. To send him to a world of his choosing where his brilliance would be celebrated. But before he could run into the beam of his machine someone else was there before him. Now Nat hadn't planned on being there mind you. She had just wanted to walk on the beach near her home and see the sunrise. But while waiting for the sunrise just walking on the beach looking her phone and smiling at the photos and stories that were appearing on Tumblr of her favorite character she couldn't help but smile to herself.

"RUN WOMAN!" She heard someone yell at her and she turned and thats when she had seen the huge machine that looked similar to a giant ray gun that was something out of a sci-fi movie pointed right after her. And once it blasted her the last thought in her mind still stayed there other than the inevitable 'Oh shit'.

Her only thought was Hatori Sohma. Her favorite character from one of her favorite animes.

Her eyes widened as she was transported through the crazy scientists crazy machine. Lost from her world now forever. But as she woke up in a hospital and she could hear nearby people speaking japanese she knew she wasn't in Florida anymore.

And then she saw him. The doctor of her dreams. He walked into her hospital room and was looking at his chart.

"Hello Miss, My name is Doctor Hatori Sohma." His deep voice rang out in the quiet atmosphere of the hospital room. "How are you feeling?" He asked her softly as he checked her vitals.

Her eyes were just wide with shock. Was she dead and had she gone to heaven?

But the real thing was did she really care?

Oh hell No. Not by a long shot. If this was a dream she was in heaven. If she actually had died and this was heaven she wasn't complaining.

If that machine had actually brought her to Hatori, then again it is Heaven to her.

"I am doing very well Dr. Sohma." She kept herself composed even though inwardly she was head over heels happy and brimming with excitement as she smiled from ear to ear.

'No one better wake me up...never wake me up…'
