A/N: I was sitting at the laptop, wondering what to publish or update, I began thinking, Ryou Bakura is one of my favorite characters...yet I've never written anything about him. So, here it is. I hope you all enjoy it.

Ryou Bakura lay back against his pillows, staring sadly up at the ceiling. He was alone yet again.
With a sigh, the white-haired teen pulled the sheets up over his thin frame. He could see his hands shaking, no doubt still in the grasp of the fear he had felt the night before when he was brought here.
The ultrathin gown was doing a poor job of keeping him warm in the increibly cold room.
A nurse with dark hair and kind eyes smiled when she entered.
"Finally awake, I see," she said.
"Please, help me," Ryou whispered, his hands now shaking harder, if that was even possible. "You don't understand."
The nurse's smile became more condescending.
"I don't want to have to sedate you again," she said with a soft sigh. "It won't help if your mind is foggy when your counselor comes to speak with you."
Ryou didn't understand. What was happening?
The nurse patted his snowy hair and turned to leave.
"I'll just let the doctor know you're awake," she called over her shoulder as she closed the door.
Ryou, now beyond confused, stared once again at the blank white ceiling.
What was going on? Where was he? Why was he there?
