~ Author's Note ~

Hello! This is my first story being published here. I'm not very experienced in story writing just yet, so this is kinda like practice. Yep, it's a Teto-creation story. Teto is awesome, mkay? Mkay. Lmao you don't have to agree with me but still

Anyway, let's move on to the story itself.

Part One

August, 2007. A monster saw a blue light flicker with potential. But, it was still obscure and small and not worth the time.

December, same year. Two yellow lights joined the blue light. The monster noticed this and saw that the blue light was growing. People were starting to fall in love with these little obscure lights.

A couple months later. The lights were growing at an immense speed. The monster decided it was time to strike.

And it knew the perfect day to attack. To trick.

A day in which the difference between attacks and the truth were hidden behind a veil of good fun.

The monster smiled. No one would see it coming.

"Hey, everyone! Have you heard about Hatsune Miku? Isn't she cool? Wouldn't you like it if there were more characters like her- a whole cast?" Chimed a user. "Well, I heard that the people who made her announced that there's a FOURTH character in the works! Behind Miku and the twins!" Said another.

"Wait, no one knows what she looks like, or her name for that matter." Said another.

The monster heard this and smiled sadistically. It'd get a good laugh yet again.

It studied these interesting new lights and the ones who loved them. It would design a character who fit in with the three, one would easily gain new fans, one who would be loved. The monster would use this character as bait, dangling it in front of the fans to lure them in- just to snatch it back and laugh at their confusion, anger, disappointment.

The colors of red and black fit this idea well- a character with dark colors to fit the dark intentions behind her. Wings of a bat, 'species' of a beast of legend. Hair of a-

Well, the hairstyle was an interesting choice. But the monster didn't care. It didn't want this character to be scary. Just… Trollish.

She was just wandering around the emptiness and darkness of space, it seems. No voice, no fans. The 'Creator" of her told her, "You are a Vocaloid! You will have fans! But you must do it without a voice- you are a different Vocaloid. Much different."

She didn't get it. A Vocaloid without a voice? She didn't get where it was going with that, but what did she know? She wasn't even existent yet.

She was given a name, too. Kasane Teto.

Wait- what's that? The light ahead- it's recognition!

"Hey- there's an ad here… It's the new Vocaloid that Crypton announced! What's the ad doing on-" "Hey, look at this. CV04, Kasane Teto. So that's her name, huh? She's pretty cute." "OMG GUYS A NEW VOCALOID! Y'KNOW, LIKE MIKU!?"

Both Teto and the monster heard this.

Teto jumped in joy! Fans, people who are nice, friends…

The monster smirked. The bait worked. Now to wait until midnight- the time of truth.

This part was meant to be short, don't worry, haha. I'm going for something right here, just can't put my finger on what to call it.
