Radioactive

Inspired by Tumblr prompt #116 - Broken Cages and Radioactive by Imagine Dragons, as well as basically the same thing that inspired Flying's Just Like Falling - what if Moriarty had a sister? I know nobody seems to read this related OC trash, but if imma write a thing imma publish the thing XD

Besides, not my fault the idea won't go away.

They walked together now, neither one either leading or following. It felt odd at first - when she walked with him, she was walking with a criminal - Jim Moriarty, not Richard Brook. She was walking with him because she had no choice, because she was dragged into his game - she was following behind because she couldn't get rid of him.

But slowly, gradually, things began to change. She realised that he needed her - and her him. The love between two siblings is a curious thing, she thought - through all bitterness, rivalry, jealousy, anger - that spark of loyalty that is there right from the very start still remains...

If she didn't stay and be there for him, she would lose him for good, and not Moran or Sherlock Holmes or, as he had once mentioned in a mocking rhyme to Holmes, "All Mycroft's horses and all Lestrade's men", could hold him together, or put the pieces back again. If she couldn't help him fly away from the darkness eating away at his mind, then she would stay anyway - she would hold his hand and crumble right along with him.

And then... She was walking side by side with Richard Brook, her brother. She was walking with him because she chose to, because when he fell she leapt after him - she was sticking close to his side, walking right next to him, because she couldn't bear to let him go. She didn't want to be just like her parents, just like all the others, who left when he got in too deep. Who shied away from the danger, cowered at her brother's supposed "Freakishness".

She would stay right where she was - where she belonged and needed to be. They would both break their cages and light up the sky with their chemical glow. Maybe to others he was dangerous, radioactive. But if he was radioactive, then she must be immune to his rays.

Just a random little thing I wanted to do after listening to Phoenix Hearts and Radioactive. I don't own the rhyme mentioned - I found a thing on Google that I decided to adapt and include.

Moriarty sat on a wall,

Sherlock Holmes had a great fall,

All Lestrade's horses

And all Mycroft's men,

Couldn't put Watson together again...

As if the internet wasn't evil enough. Why did they have to do an episode with goddamn fairytale themed stuff?! They gave the fandom bad ideas!
