Peter groaned as he was pulled into yet another one of Mary's favorite antique shops. This was the third one, on this street alone. At least he wasn't suffering alone; there were three other victims. well, closer to two; Anna enjoyed shopping with Mary. why, nobody would ever know. The other two victims were Josh, Peter's younger brother and Erikk, Josh's best friend.

Peter's arms sagged under the weight of the 8 bags in his arms. Where Mary got her seemingly unlimited supply of money nobody seemed to know. She was always off buying something. Not that the group didn't take full advantage of it when Birthdays and Christmas rolled around.

"Oh my gawd!" Mary exclaimed as soon as the door closed to the antique shop. The entire store was decorated with vibrant colors, almost as if someone exploded a bag of skittles. Yet it was oddly organized, and seemingly included every hue in the color spectrum. At the entrance were the yellows, pinks, the bright colors, and the back held the dark blues, red, and purples.

The gang split up to scan the different colors for anything special. Peter set out for the dark foresty green section, feeling oddly drawn there. Idly scanning the shelves, he saw a small mint green glass ball. He picked it up, and it fit perfectly in his hand. He almost dropped it from shock as it gently started vibrating, softer than a light hum. Peter let it sit in his palm, and silently decreed it had value. It felt as if that little glass ball belonged to him, and it had for a long time. Yet he had never seen it before. He held it up to the light, and it sparkled brilliantly.

Taking a quick glance around, to ensure nobody was watching, he slipped it into one of Mary's bags. Smiling inwardly, he set off to find the rest of the group.
