Draco's POV

She was smiling. I can't believe it. She was actually smirking. She, Hermione Granger, was smiling after I had publicly humiliated her at the Yule Ball. Has the world gone mad? However, what surprised me even more was when she walked onto the platform I was standing on to and said….

Hermione's POV

Everyone was laughing at me. I was a joke. However, I wasn't going to let Draco get the better of me. So I smiled and walked onto the stage.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I know that you are currently laughing at me. However I feel no shame whatsoever because even though it was me who was embarrassed, it's Malfoy I feel sorry for. You see Malfoy, you may think that you have embarrassed me, but you only embarrassed yourself." I turn to the crowd. "How many of you are having a good time with your date?"

Everyone raises their hands. I smile.

"Okay good. Now, ladies, how many of you find Mister Malfoy incredibly attractive?"

Every girl raises their hands. Draco smiles. "Granger I don't know what you're playing at, but it's not working."

"Oh but Malfoy, I'm just getting started. I'm not finished yet." Draco frowns.

"Okay ladies, another thing. I hope that you're dates are treating you respectfully, as they should." The ladies nod.

"Now, if your date embarrases you like dear mister Malfoy did to me, what would you do?"

Among the shouts, I heard "kick his arse!, never go out with him again, trash his reputation etc…." I smile again. This was going exactly as I had anticipated.

"Good, very good. Now, what will you say to Malfoy the next time he asks you out?"

The ladies reply differently. "No!! Get lost Ferret. No woman in their right mind will go out with you now!" I smile while noticing Draco. He's fuming.

I turn towards Draco. "You see Malfoy, you may have embarrassed me, but you have caused more damage to yourself than you have done me. The whole female population would do well to stay away from you."

I again turns towards the crowd. "Gentlemen, let this be a lesson to you. Don't be a Malfoy and you will end up with a wonderful woman. You guys enjoy the rest of your evening." I said and walked off the stage to tremendous applause and cheering.

Before exiting the Great Hall, I took one last look at Draco, noticed his embarrassment and fury, smiled and headed for my dormitory. Serves him right. I thought

OMG how dare she completely embarrass me in front of everyone. No more women? How will I survive? Damn that mudblood!
