The Holy Grail War.
It resolves around an omnipotent tool that will grant its owner any wish : The Holy Grail. It is a competition between 7 Masters employing the use of seven Servants. Masters face each other in battles and kill each other off. The Grail selects only one possessor. Seravants are legendary heroes,entities given flesh by the Holy Grail. They essentially accompany their Masters in spiritual form,and can be materialised to fight when necessary. The Grail is capable of such miracles,so it follows that it can grantvits owner any wish.
PROLOGUE
I am the bone of my sword Steel is my body,and fire is my blood I have created over a thousand blades Unknown to Death,
Nor known to Life,
Have withstood pain to create many weapons So,as I pray,
Unlimited Blade Works.
Heroic Spirit Emiya walked in solitude,his hands touching the hilts of the blades as he passed by. In the vast desolate land,he had roamed for a long time. He was patiently waiting for the day when the man chasing after his footsteps would arrive in that land.
As his gaze fixed on the dual swords from his own creations,Kanshou and Bakuya, the image of his former self fluttered in front of him.
Now,as the time neared,he stood there,waiting for the one Magus which would summon him — Tohsaka Rin. The thought of it made him smile.
