The blonde-haired shinobi watches Hinata draw. Her colored pencils make smooth marks on the paper, and her hands make swift, almost jerking, movements.
Naruto sees Hinata, the dark-haired kunoichi who'd he'd been friends with since his genin days, have a look of intense concentration. He's never seen Hinata so focused on something before, except for training.
Hinata continues to work, and refuses to show her work to Naruto. Dejected, the blonde boy goes to his favorite ramen place to eat and pass the time until Hinata is finished.
Meanwhile, Hinata still works. The drawing she is making is a surprise for Naruto, and she doesn't want him to see it until it's perfect and ready.
The kunoichi grabs a yellow colored pencil from her pile of writing tools and finishes the drawing. Perfect! Then, Hinata heads to the ramen place to find Naruto.
"Is it finished?" Naruto asks Hinata, noodles hanging from his mouth like octopus tentacles.
"Y-Yes," Hinata replies, trying not to laugh at the food hanging from Naruto's mouth.
Naruto takes the drawing from Hinata's hands, and smiles. It is a picture of him in his orange jumpsuit, eating a bowl of ramen. Naruto is amazed at how similar the drawing looks to him.
"Thank you," Naruto says, giving Hinata a peck on the cheek. Hinata blushes a bright red color, as she often does around Naruto.
"You're welcome," Hinata replies, rubbing the cheek that Naruto kissed. Hard work pays off when you're doing something for the person you love.
