El Squeeko: Hello again everyone. This fic was inspired by the song Adieu.
Anyhow, no complaining about how short my fics are. I can't help their size. My muse gives me inspiration so take it out on Spot, the conch shell muse.

Faye sat on the floor sobbing, her face buried in her hands as Jet turned and walked away, unable to look at her in fear that he would start crying himself.

Images flashed through Faye's mind of the bounty hunter, his bush-like hair, that cocky grin, those mismatched eyes that had always trapped her in their depths and seemed to look right past her mask straight down into the very depths of her soul.

But she knew she'd never hear the voice she longed for, she'd never see those eyes filled with risk and love of adventure.

Shakily she picked up the gun she had dropped to the floor when he had left for the last time and raised it to her temple.

Inside me, so strong
Embers of times we had
And now here I stand lost in a memory
I see your face and smile //
As she pulled the trigger a single sigh escaped her lips, forming his name. Spike.
Faye's eyes closed, as a ghost-like smile appeared on her face as the comforting darkness washed over here, surrounding her in it's cool embrace.

She smiled to herself as she heard a familiar voice. One that was filled with happiness at her arrival but was edged with teasing.
