Had the sky…always been this blue? Or was it that this was his first time ever witnessing something like this? Yes… This was his first time looking up into the sky, as the dust and dirt came back down to earth around him and the debris he was lying in; after the building that he was in exploded. How was he alive? It's a miracle… or is it?
He didn't know how long he had lain there, but the sun had gone down quite a lot since he had woken up. He didn't have the strength the push the desk off of him, which had him pinned to the ground. Though, as he looked he saw that there was a big cabinet weighing the desk down on top of him anyways; no need to waste what strength he did have left on trying to escape.
He didn't quite know why, but his face felt really hot, even though the sun was going down.
…Where was everyone? Everyone in the building… wasn't there a lot of people in white suits? …Or was that just a dream? Why couldn't he remember…?
Just then he heard a sound. Turning his head slightly, he saw someone climbing over some of the rubble in front of him.
"Hey! There's a kid over here! Help me out!" He called out from over his shoulder, and turned his attention back to the kid in front of him. After he climbed down from the rubble, he gently bent down to the bruised up little kid.
"OI!…Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere? ...Can you hear me?" he asked, but only got a pitiful yet sleepy look from the kid.
"Hey! You got to hang in there! We'll get you out of here in no time!" the teen with the beanie said, and looked down at him to see something shiny against his skin. Being as careful as he possibly could, he maneuvered the shiny piece of metal into his hand to find it was a dog tag. Numbers filled up the front of it, along with some chip that looked like a bar code. Flipping it over he found the name '-K-O-H-A-K-U-' on the back.
"Hm? …So your name is Kohaku?" he murmured to himself as he heard someone climb down the rubble behind him.
"Oi! It took you long enough! I need a hand to get this stuff off of this kid without hurting him." he said as he tested out how heavy the desk and cabinet was. He thought it was Rikio, or at least someone from Homra. But the last voice he thought he would ever hear in this moment spoke up, and sent shivers down his spine.
"…It's been awhile, Misaki~!"
Update: 6/19/14
For some reason, it's deleting some of my sentences and words from my documents when I upload them.
I just fixed some things, so I hope it's better. Let me know if you see anything off, but only after tomorrow.
Thank you for your patience, and I hope you enjoy! ^^
