They always saw each other, but paid no mind to their existence. She was propped onto the table, he was hung up on the wall. The kids that ran about and played all day, everyday was their usual view of the word. Sometimes she was grabbed upon by one of them, and used with a writing utensil of some sort. He was sometimes—no, all the time—used for checking out what the time was during the day.
She was responsible for keeping them creative with never-ending ideas, and he was responsible for reminding them when it was time for breakfast, playtime, lunch, bath, dinner, etc.
Soon, they both grew tired of the same, daily routine. Over and over again, it was like a ceaseless cycle.
Then one day, the clock did not chime for the kids to wake up. The clock had vanished from his place up against the wall. When the kids woke up later than normal, the noticed this. Bored, they went to continue and play with the notepad. The notepad, too, had disappeared from its place at the table.
The children were shocked, and confused as to why they were not present. They heard a noise, all three of them whirling around, only to gawk at the familiar figures before them.
"It's time to get creative..." Paige cooed slowly, giving off a sinister smirk. Her black hand held a sharp, number two pencil, as if ready to use it. Her other hand clasped around a gloved hand that had approached from behind.
"Into a journey through time..." Tony finished off her sentence, holding his large ticking sword in his other hand. He tossed the gawking kids a psychotic gaze, chuckling.
They knew that they existed, but only then, did they managed to notice each other. The kids have had enough of fun.
Now, it was time for their fun. A new, endless cycle begins.
