Kaoru's eyes kept to the floor.This is it do or die what happens after this will change my life forever either he says he loves me too or he leaves me.
"Kenshin can I talk to you please? It's really important" Kaoru stated her heart thumping loudly against her chest. Kenshin nodded and followed Kaoru out of the room
"Kenshin, I love you" A long silence followed Kaoru's bold confession. Kaoru chanced a glance and was surprised to see that the color had drained from Kenshin's face "Kenshin?" Kenshin looked up his eyes apologetic
"This one is sorry to break your heart Kaoru-dono. But I can't say the same to you" with that kenshin turned and headed for his room leaving Kaoru in her despair.
Kenshin walked into the living room to tell Sano and Yahiko he was leaving. After that he picked up his bags and walked away from the dojo his head lowered against the cold.
I'm sorry Kaoru-dono but I cannot put you in the danger of loving this one.
Kaoru retreated to her room tears spilling over her eyes.
Kenshin if I can't have you I refuse to let you go I'll meet you again in heaven.
With that Kaoru lift a hand that held a long dagger and plunged it strait into her heart, killing her instantly
Kenshin realizing his mistake raced back to the dojo. He found Kaoru on the floor of her room the dagger still lodged into her chest. Kenshin howled and ripped the dagger out of Kaoru and thrust it into his own chest.
Sano and Yahiko found both Kenshin and Kaoru together lying in a pool of blood.
The funeral was small but the people there knew Kenshin and Kaoru where happy at last together forever
