I know its probably weird to see me writing about something not Norman Reedus-related (I'm surprised, too), but I was watching Sweeny Todd earlier today and decided to write a fanfic about Sweeny and his daughter Johanna. I know its short, but hopefully its good. Enjoy! :)

Sweeny Todd. That was the name I had made for myself during the fifteen years I had been exiled. Benjamin Barker was no longer existent, no longer alive. Neither was his wife Lucy. But the daughter I craved to have back with me, my dear Johanna, she was still very much alive. And kept prisoner by that pathetic excuse for a man, Judge Turpin.

Just wait till you get to the judge, my thoughts whispered in a deceitful, mousy, and greedy voice, then you'll really know what it is to kill.

A softer voice came into play and the lines of my forehead smoothed out. And my Johanna will be with me once more.

"Johanna…" I breathed, staring out of the window of my barber shop at the moon.

I wondered idly if she ever thought about the father she never got the chance to know. The mother Judge Turpin forced her to lose. The life she could have had had that slimy git not interfered and sentenced me to a life away from my family. I released my tightened grip on the razor blade in my hand and dropped it to the table beside me, never moving my eyes away from the moon.

I used to wonder if Lucy and Johanna were looking at the same moon I was when I was overseas and they were here in London. I used to wonder what my darling daughter was growing up to look like or to sound like or think like. What were her habits, and her peeves? What were her favorite flowers and did she like to read? Those were things I longed to know about my only child. Things I never thought I would get a chance to know.

But now… now I would see her again.

I rubbed a hand self-consciously over my face. What would she think of the man her father had become? Would she want Benjamin Barker back, or settled for Sweeny Todd, the demon barber?

I supposed I would just have to wait and see when my baby girl was set free at last.
