The musky scent of old and dust wafts through the air. A lone animatronic, decayed and deformed, lays in a corner near the entrance. "Nnggghhh..." Awoke the animatronic.
As he scans the room, he scans himself. His eyes widen in surprise and fear. "W-what...? Shouldn't I be in..." Questions fill his mind. He sees a familiar shadow nearby.
He gets up and catches up with the shadow. He recognizes him as Marionette. "... So. YOU've awakened finally." He murmured.
He stares at him in confusion. "What do you mean? And shouldn't I be in h-"
"I gave you a gift. The gift of life. I wanted to show you how we suffered all those years."
He didn't respond back. He knew what he meant though. "... I was a partner owner of Fredbear's. I helped with making the robots."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"I made them in a way, unbeknownst to my partner, that abducted children." He continued. "I never once thought that that one day would ever see the light of dawn."
"And what would that be?"
"That darn Baby nabbed my daughter." He answered. "I was angry, filled with distress and rage."
"I see."
"I later learned my son was killed by Fredbear. I wanted other families to suffer what I suffered. Then I saw a kid in front of the diner."
"You mean...?"
"Yes. It was you. ...I'm glad you stopped me, I would not've been able to stop myself after what I have done."
"I see what you're saying now."
There was a slight moment of silence before the decayed one spoke up.
"Do you know what the toughest question anyone could ask is?"
"No I don't. Tell me." Marionette replied.
"Do you forgive me?" The guy asked.
There was another silent moment before Marionette answered.
"Do you know what the toughest answer anyone could give is?"
"What?"
Marionette grabs his hand. "Apology accepted. We heard what we wanted to hear. Now finally, after 30 or so years, I can pass and meet my friends again."
"Good. You go on, I have something to do. What's your name by the way?"
"Sammy."
"William Afton. But just call me William."
"I hope to see you soon."
Marionette lands on the ground as a spirit rises out of him.
William turns around and looks down at a jug of gasoline.
"Let's finally put this to rest."
