POV. Ren
I stood in a Vape shop trying to find a new mod. My friend, Uta, was with me. He looked lost in thought. Man...this is such a drag. I then spotted one with a chain design on it. Uta paid for it and we headed out. "I can't wait to try this out!" I exclaimed excitedly. I filled it with blood and took a drag off of it. It tasted so good. I took another drag. Good thing I was able to thin it out so I could smoke it. Then, a CCG investigator turned around a corner. I put away my mod and unleashed my Kagane. It was a pair of wings and a long sharp tail. Uta and I attacked and killed the investigator. I took the first bite. Uta looked at me.
"You're becoming quite the ghoul." He said. I smiled and licked my lips. Uta is my favorite friend. We finished our meal and headed out. I then ran into Touka, Kaneki, and Hiname. Kaneki is a bit of a drag to be around. He doesn't act like a normal ghoul. He refuses to eat flesh and always has his nose in a book. Touka is plain mean. Hiname is adorable and kind. I like all my friends though. Kanekis friend, Hide, is funny. He always picks on Kaneki. I was born a ghoul, so Kaneki is a little difficult to understand. He was a human before he had a run in with Rize. All well...shit happens I guess.
"Hi Ren!" Hiname laughed happily. She ran up to me and hugged me tightly. She's so happy. Even though the CCG killed her parents, she's still able to smile all the same. She's a brave little girl. I'm proud of how much she was able to overcome. Touka has been through a lot too though. She took guardianship of Hiname after her mother was killed. Its been a hard road for them both. Kaneki too. He bears the sorrow of his friends onto himself and feels sorry for them. I gotta admit, that is pretty kind of him to worry like he does. It proves that he cares about all of us. Well...back to the coffee shop I guess.
