The blue-haired man looked at the heavy sack in his hand, rattling with the sound of tin, and his mind filled with the times she had berated his hobby. He chuckled as he thought of the irony, a tear sliding down his cheek. One of the things she hated the most would be paying for one thing she had wanted the most. He entered a small looking shop and walked up to the counter, then set the bag down. An elderly man walked up to him, "Ah hello again James, come to brag about your collection?" He grinned, and then stopped when he noticed the young man was crying silently. "James," the old man asked, "Are you alright m'boy? What's happened?"
James looked at the old man and some more tears welled up in his eyes, "Hi Marcus, I'm not here to flaunt, I'm here to sell." He blatantly ignored the older man's other questions, and opened up the bag. Marcus looked down into the bag, and was surprised at what he saw. These were some of the rarest bottle caps ever seen, in fact; there was the black Charizard from 1987! Only ten bottles worldwide had been sold before the products were recalled. He looked at James, figuring that whatever would make him want to sell was dire. He reached under the counter, twisting a combination lock while looking James in the eyes, "Are you sure, m'boy?" James nodded and the man began to catalog each and every single one of the rare bottle caps, the price soon rocketing over $1,000,000. The man handed James the money, nearly depleting his funds from the last five years of business.
James left the store, his wallet heavy. He walked until he met up with Meowth, "Did you get the money James?" James nodded, looking off to the side so one of his oldest friends wouldn't have to watch him cry. "James, you ain''t the only one upset by this, you don't have to hide your tears from me." James didn't respond, simply got into the van and drove off once Meowth got in.
James had never been so surprised by Meowth's engineering abilities. This small cat had been able to build a rocket, and so much more in the past. He wept, looking at how peaceful Jessie looked in the coffin. Her eyes were closed, and she had a smile on her lips. In her hand James had placed his rose, wet with tears. Behind James, there was a sound, and he turned to see a large group of Arbok, with a particularly familiar one at the helm, one with tears in its eyes, in fact. He nodded to the creature, and it nodded back. He left to a safe distance, and opened up a box. Inside the box was a button, which he put his hand over, as did Meowth, and Arbok put his tail over their hands. They pressed down as one, and watched as the rocket lifted up James remembered their motto, and began to speak, "We were double trouble, powerful enough to protect the world from devastation and unite them all in one nation. We couldn't fall to the evils of truth and love," he felt his heart hitch at this point, for he had fallen for her some point long ago, and it started to hit him like a ton of brick, but he persisted, "With this, you'll finally be able to extend you're reach to the stars above." The rocket was breaking through the atmosphere, and James continued, "Blast off, at the speed of light, never surrender in your flight." He watched as the rocket took off into space, Jessie had always wanted to be a star…. And now she was.
