Two months. Had it really already been so long? Honey brown eyes fell upon the window where snow was slowly collecting. Fifteen minutes until this weeks session was over and there was a strange restlessness climbing up her legs. Suddenly a voice snapped her from her daze.

"Sasha?" Eyes climbed up the figure that was speaking, the dry lipped, narrow eyed counselor who sat in the chair before her.

"What?" Cue the soft sigh. of course she hadn't been listening. Eight sessions and still the same result. She wasn't ready to relive it.

She didn't even believe he was gone. After all, Marco was the best thing that'd ever happened to her. Just the thought brought stinging tears to her eyes.

"You can go." For once, she was thankful to hear the counselors voice, and without hesitation she left, almost too quickly to hear the faint, "see you next week."

Once outside, it was apparent how off she had been while gauging the temperature. Near arctic winds nipped at her nose and chewed on her fingertips. It hadn't been this cold out an hour ago, had it? She shoved her hands in her pockets, head lowered, and trekked against the wind, just trying to make it home. No, it wasn't home anymore. She wondered if her mother was home. Better yet, she wondered if her mother had bought groceries. It wasn't worth a fight, so veering from her path, she cut through an alley.

Where was she even going? Her feet continued to move as she found a bit of sidewalk she didn't recognize. The cracks got wider, the surface was more abused, it was all so unfamiliar, but she kept forward. She'd spent so many nights on the street, but it was frightening how little she actually knew about the city. There were so many possibilities, so many things she could explore, and she hadn't. Maybe it was fear. She didn't want to be left alone. Especially not now, now that she had lost her adventuring partner.
That needed to stop. She couldn't just bring him up so easily. Marco was still tearing at her heart, punching through the thin walls she'd put up to cover the hole in her chest.
