Some God

Takes place during the church service in Blind Faith, I got this idea when they focused in on Amy for a brief couple of seconds and I couldn't help but imagine what she must being thinking.

'Yeah, right.' Amy can't help but think as she watches Reverend Keyes speak about Got letting miracles happen if you pray and truly believe. 'If that was true then Colin would be sitting right beside her and he would be going to the wedding with her, but most of all she wouldn't feel so alone no matter where she was, or who she was with.

How many nights had she spend praying for Colin to magically wake up from his coma? And maybe she got her miracle in the form of Andrew Brown. Or maybe not, and God was just a tease. Sure Colin had woken up after the first surgery but he had never been her Colin. He had been this constantly changing new person in Colin's body. And then she ahd spent more hours praying., crying and pleading for God to giver her Colin back to her. That had never happened, there ahd been a glimmer of the old Colin the day before his surgery. This had left Amy with the hope that the surgery would go well and when Colin woke up they would be the way they were before the accident and the surgery. But God hadn't come through, he hadn't given Doctor Andrew Brown the miracle to save Colin.

Amy had thought she was mad at Doctor Brown but it had taken her a couple of days to realize she was really angry with God. The same God who had given the same doctor the power to save hundreds of other people and yet couldn't give him the power to save Colin Hart.

She was right, God was a tease. He sends the "Great Doctor Brown" to Everwood of all places. He leads Ephram to Amy so she could convince Ephram to convince Andy to do the surgery on Colin. He gives Colin back to them, dramatically changed. And then, as if to laugh in their faces he then takes Colin away from the world that love him so much. Some God He was giving everyone so much hope only to rip it violently and painfully away from everyone.

Some God.
