The first time they kissed was in a game called 'Spin the Bottle'. It was messy, and both of them were on their knees, on the carpet of Finnick's apartment being cheered on by a rowdy bunch of Victors. They were 18 and didn't mention it again that night.
The second time they kissed was at Enobaria's 19th when Cashmere kissed Enobaria on the cheek and Enobaria turned her head at the last minute. They both blushed and looked away.
The third time they kissed Enobaria had drank a little too much and was being helped by Cashmere back to her room before kissing her on the lips and promptly passing out. Neither girls mentioned it again.
The fourth time they kissed was on Cashmere's 19th, as both girls were sitting on the balcony watching the sun rise as the party had finished hours ago, they shared a bottle of champagne and neither can remember who kissed who first.
The fifth time they kiss is in a cleaning supplies cupboard, that Enobaria dragged them into when Johanna got a little too handsy with Cashmere for her liking. That night Cashmere wears a scarf to dinner and refuses to answer Gloss' questions.
The sixth time they kiss, it tastes of tears and lipbalm, Enobaria's tribute is killed unexpectedly, and Cashmere comforts her the only way she knows how.
The seventh time they kiss is in Cashmere's bed after yet another party, their lips taste of bitter Capitol Liquor and a unique taste that they associate with the other.
The eighth time they kiss is in Enobaria's shower, it is wet, full of soapsuds, and their hair falls in wet tendrils around their shoulders, and any noises they make are muffled by the falling water.
The ninth time they kiss is in Enobaria's bed after Cashmere sneaks in after having yet another nightmare, they whisper promises to each other and kiss until they fall asleep entwined in each others arms.
The tenth time they kiss is in the Capitol and is one of desperation after being announced for the Quarter Quell, it's a kiss that screams out all the things they've avoided saying over the years. Their nails rake each others back, and Enobaria is certain if it wasn't for the sound proofed walls, their 'relationship' would be splashed over Panem.
The eleventh time they kiss is after the tributes interviews, to them it is a silent way of saying goodbye, their hands run over each other, their lips nipping, sucking and biting, and trying to commit every detail of each other to memory, they sleep together that night yet again wrapped in each others arms before morning comes and they are forced to be seperated and pitted against each other.
The twelfth and final time they kiss is when Cashmere is dying in Enobaria's arms, Johanna has buried an axe in her chest and Enobaria swam out to get her. Cashmere is coughing slightly, blood trickling down her pale face as she battles to stay alive. Enobaria presses a final kiss to her lips as a goodbye, turning away as her cannon fires not wanting to see her get dragged away by the hovercraft.
