It had to be the hottest day of the summer, most of the team was sprawled in the shade on the school lawn trying to get cool after afternoon practice. The sun's hot rays had beat down on them, but Yukimura and Sanada did not let up, they called it "good for the soul" or something as utterly ridiculous as that. Marui, who had problems with his stamina normally, could barely keep up today and had fallen behind many times. His partner was another story and Marui openly glared at Jackal who looked as if it were a normal temperature out. Jackal was the only one who looked in such a relaxed state though. Even the normally perfect not a hair out of place Yukimura wore shorts together to practice and was not wearing his warm up jacket as he normally would. No one was wearing sweatpants or jackets in fact even people like Renji who seemed to never take his off.
"Jackal, how are you not dying of the heat right now?" Jackal looked down at Marui and laughed, his partner wasn't wearing his shirt anymore and Marui had pulled his hair up into a tiny, messy ponytail. "Is it because you're bald?" Jackal sighed and patted Marui on the head.
"Probably, the neck is one of the places in the body where it's easy to control the body's temperature. I guess since I shave the hair there there's more circulation of air." Marui would have poked him in the side if Marui had enough energy to do so. "If you're so hot Bunta, why don't you take a cold shower and go home to the air conditioning?"
Marui sighed "It's not that easy Jackal getting up and showering, and then walking home takes a lot of energy that I just don't have right now."
"Maybe that's why your parents named you ball of fat." Marui stuck his tongue out a Niou. "See you're too lazy to even retort." Niou was sitting up ad looking over in Marui's direction.
"Shut up Niou. I don't see you moving very far." Niou sighed and went back to laying on Yayuu's lap. "Jackal, will you carry me to the locker room?" Jackal sighed and stood up.
"Yes, your highness. Would you also like me to help you bathe?" Mauri laughed as Jackal scooped him up Bridal style.
"Yes, I would like that very much." They both laughed as jackal slowly walked to the shower rooms. If anything was going to happen, Marui thought, it better be in the air conditioning or the cold shower, it was far to hot out to be romantic outside.
A/N: You know those annoying things that makes you put in two words before you can log in. I got the words airy and Brazil and I immediately thought of Jackal, especially since it's so hot out. Also since Jackal shaves his head, he gets a lot more circulation up there. I have long hair and I think I might die this summer especially the week I'm going to Mississippi.
I have a few WotD chapters I'm typing and the KevRyo oneshot I wrote is being edited and then will be typed soon.
