Arthur's Song A/N: To the tune of "Arthur's Theme" by Christopher Cross. After I read the first Hitchhiker book, this concept came easily to me, so this song summarizes (incompleteley) what happened in that book. The first line of the chorus refers to being in the airlock, at the end of Chapter 7. Enjoy!

Once on a Thursday morning,
Somebody wants your house knocked down
And next thing you know, your world is
Down and out.

Wake up, you're on a spaceship,
Someone reads some poetry to you.
Wondering to yourself, "What
Was that about?!"

Chorus:
Here we are, caught between vacuum and Vogon city,
I know it's crazy, but it's true.
If you get caught between vacuum and Vogon city,
The best that you can do,
The best that you can do
Is lots of luck.

Arthur was one of the last two
Earth-people who were still alive and
He met the other one,
Who was a girl.
The two of them and Zaphod and Ford are
Havin' themselves a pretty good time,
Seeing the wonders of the whole Galaxy.

Chorus

Saxophone solo

Repeat chorus to fade
