I wrote this Sorting Hat song for a fanfiction I am writing, I will be posting it very soon

Open eyes and you will see,
an old tattered hat, frayed and worn
but hear my tale and what I've seen
before you decide to scorn
Each year a task is given to me
The great leaders take me down
to put new students in their house
My ability to do this is quite renown
Over a thousand years this has been done,
Male or female it does not matter.
Put me on top of your head,
Your mind will be displayed on a platter
If you get placed in Gryffindor,
Bravery will be in your heart.
They are friends like no other
and have been proven from the start
It could be Ravenclaw for you,
For they will not be threatened.,
If a problem rears its head,
A mind is a powerful weapon
Or perhaps Slytherin is the place for you
Calm, cunning, and grand achiever
They will never settle for less than all,
Over time you can't help but be a believer.
Then you have the noble Hufflepuff
Each have loyalty above all things
Laugh if you will, but know this
Patience and justice is what it brings
So slip me on and don't be stressed
I will do my job, and look in your mind
You will help me if you choose
So come sit down and see what we find!
