I was on a simple reconassiance mission, locate the protoss base, and report any aggresion or other anamolies. I was in more than I bargained for. I was the lead wraith of a 3 ship fleet, my two wingman were new flyboys, untrained, and virgin pilots. They had never had any combat. I gave the order to cloak when one of my wingmen reported something on their radar, mass organic activity. The one thought raced through my mind... zerg. I told them to stay in upper altitudes, and try to avoid all overlords, and not to open fire on any units, I wanted this operation to go flawlessly. We could see the glow of the nearby photon cannons of the protoss base, and I recordered the activiy around. Then, scouts and carriers appeared and a massive army of dragoons and zealots marched across the land, going to lower altitudes, we saw a zerg hive cluster. Hundreds of zerglings stood waiting by, with a few hydralisks prepared for their soon onslaught. I ordered my men to return to base, I had to investigate, it was too dangerous. This very dangerous order, gave them the total opposite fortune. A queen appeared and saw the blurr of movement and ensnared both their wraiths. Their cloak was now useless totally vunerable, I saw a group of devourors blow them to holy hell, both men fell to the ground in escape pods, but once landed, their bodies were torn to shreds, and clawed by zerglings...
My wraiths energy was half deminished, I knew I didn't have much time to get out of there... I plotted the fastest course, but as soon as I did psi storm appeard in front of my ship, badly damaging it, I lost autonavigation. The protoss zealots begain charging, slaughtering the zerglins with their psi blades, but the zerg had a trick up their sleeves. From a Nydus canal appeard lurkers, who burrowed, and killing their own zergling brothers, demolished the remaining zealots. The scouts now took command and attacked the lurkers, and I thought I had an opening to retreat through the protoss forces, boy was I wrong. Seeing an ensnared observer, I blasted it, giving myself an opening to retreat with my cloak, but my energy from the psi storm was drastically low, I was open. 3 corsairs broke off from the fleet, and began persuit, I tried to remember which direction our terran outpost was, north, but auto nav was out. The first blast hit the rear. My wraith was barely flying. The rear engine was badly damaged and the corsairs were gaining on me, I took evasive action down low where I saw some hydralisks who might counter the corsairs. So they did, knocked off one, and narrowly missed me, now I was only chased by 2, much better, but still miles from base. 3 scourge appeared from the horizion and the sun gleemed blinding me. I took a risk and turned right. The corsairs too being blinded did not see me and were badly damaged by the scourge, but they still remained in my pursuit. I checked my energy cell, and it was slowly recharged, I took a risk, cloaked and attacked, but blindly I took one out, and the other crashed into me. It remained in the air, I did not... I hit eject and slowly landed on the ground, only armed with a machine gun. I ran towards the only nearby hill. I didn't notice, until then, but the corsair was on a suicide course, I had damaged it too badly to remain in the air. It flew directly at me, I stood opening fire, it's shadow loomed over me now. Only about 100 meters from me a yamatto cannon blasted the infernal corsair, exploding it into fragments. Shrapnel wizzed by my head, and from holding down fire so long, my hands were blackend with burn marks from the overheated gun, a dropship came down, retrieved my, and said in the by, byebyebye
