Without You by Hilary-Ray

Ray looked out the door to where the rest of the Bladebreakers were talking; it was only yesterday that Hilary left the world to move on. He never had the chance to tell her of his feelings for her; she was never to know now.

No I can't forget this evening

Or your face as you were leaving

But I guess that's just the way

The story goes

You always smile but in your eyes

Your sorrow shows

Yes it shows

She was so happy when she left but he knew that she never was, she never really wanted to leave did she? It was that final smile that got him, when she was lying in his arms. Did she even know that he cared then? Was she ever going to know? Why didn't he tell her? He had the chance, just before she left he had to say that dreaded goodbye; she just smiled said "It's not your fault" and left their world. Why didn't he even consider running after her and stopping that accident?

When I had you there

But then I let you go

And now it's only fair

That I should let you know

What you should know

He knew now that it was her that he needed and it was never Mariah or anyone else. He know thought that he could never live without her; he was so depressed and unhappy, he wanted her to know but he had no idea of where she was, yet he did and knew that he might never see him again - in life and in death. His life didn't seem like living now. Why should he live on if he couldn't even be near her now? He had only shown her his feelings after he told her that he would always be there. That was after Tyson had treated her nastily.

Flashback

It was cold and damp, the park wasn't crowded the only people there were himself and her, his one true love... the one that he couldn't tell. The one he could never tell - after she had been told that she was never to be anything but a let down of the team, because she couldn't even beyblade. He looked at her and said.

"Don't worry about what Tyson said to you, Hilary." She smiled and nodded. "I mean it, he doesn't know what he's talking about, and Hilary remember it was you that helped me win against Joseph. You shown me his bit-beast just before it was too late." It was her that helped him then. It was then that she got up.

"Will you promise me something, Ray?" She asked him.

"What?" Ray replied to her question.

"Never let anything happen to me." She told him. He nodded and stood up beside her.

"I won't." He promised.

End Flashback.

If only he did, if only he walked her home, if only it was him that was hit by the car and not her. He should have kept his promise. What was he to do now? Life wasn't really worth living.

I can't live

If living is without you

I can't live

I can't give anymore

I can't live

If living is without you

I can't give

I can't give anymore

Everything played back in his mind, the car hitting her, her flailing body, his emotions and when he raced to her side and comforted her... and her dying in his arms.

"I should have done something. When you said you were leaving... I should have stopped you."

Well I can't forget this evening

Or your face as you were leaving

But I guess that's just the way

The story goes

You always smile but in your eyes

Your sorrow shows

Yes it shows

What was he going to do, what was he going to do? That was the dreaded question. Were they ever going to be together again and happy? He didn't feel so happy now. Her name ran aloud in his head "Hilary" How was he going to get over this? He couldn't help feeling that it was his fault that she died.

"I'm so sorry." He told her in thought... could she answer his prayers from Heaven? Oh he wished she could and that she could come and tell him herself that live was worth living even now.

I can't live

If living is without you

I can't live

I can't give anymore

I can't live

If living is without you

I can't give

I can't give anymore
