"She's on the warpath mate, watch out." Jack said as Gerry answered the phone, all the while Sandra was walking out of the pub door and towards him. He tucked his phone back inside his jacket pocket and stubbed the cigarette out before throwing the stub onto the ground.

"Gerry what are you doing?!" Sandra asked angrily.

"Just getting a bit of fresh air." Gerry replied innocently.

"Like hell you are. Come here." Sandra growled as she pulled Gerry closer and kissed him. "Don't ever lie to me Gerry because I will find out. We both know the answer to this but I'll give you one last chance to tell me the truth or expect hell."

"Fine, it was just one." She shoved into him hard and was about to start shouting properly this time. "You said you wouldn't give me hell if I told you the truth."

"Well I lied." Sandra growled furiously. "You said you were serious this time! You were supposed to call me if you felt like smoking." Sandra was now shouting as she hit his chest.

"I'm too old to give up now Sandra." Gerry tried.
"Normally I'd agree with your age but it's your lack of willpower that's the issue, that's why you can't stay faithful either." Sandra told him harshly.
"Maybe so…"

"There's no maybe about it."

"I've smoked since I was 14 Sandra, the damage has been done and not smoking would probably be worse for me." Gerry tried to reason but Sandra really was fuming.

"Gerry I don't really care about your health as long as you turn up for work and stop the office and even my car stinking of smoke because if you don't quit I'll have you doing desk jobs or ensure you fail the fitness test."

"You can't do that."

"Watch me." Her eyes dared him to argue but he didn't leaving a warning expression on her face before she herself left.
