"Why are there so many unsolved crimes? A lot of these cases aren't even hard is someone had really bothered." Sandra sighed as her and the boys sat looking through another dozen case files in search of one that sounded interesting.
"You're forgetting that back in the 60s and 70s policing was much harder and had yet to go through the technological revolution that brought about policing as we know it today." Jack told her.
"No, do you know what I think?" Sandra replied.
"Shock us." Gerry said as he looked up at his boss.
"There wasn't many women in the met…"
"And?" Gerry questioned her.
"Well if you let me finish you might find out. So much of crime solving depends on noticing the little things. Women notice them, men just don't." All the three men surrounding her burst into a contagious laughter that soon had her going too. "It's true, call it woman's intuition but I'm right."
"Yeah that's why we didn't solve cases, it was all down to women just making the tea." Jack laughed sarcastically.
"Well what was it then?!" Sandra asked angrily.
"Rubbish DNA testing." Jack answered.
"Police corruption." Gerry added.
"Lack of a good database." Brian also added.
"You're all wrong." Sandra smiled.
"Where's your proof?" Gerry argued playfully.
"I don't have any yet; where's yours?"
"Police corruption case files, open and close cases that just need simple DNA tests or running through the systems." Jack backed Gerry up.
"Fine but I will prove you wrong."
