Chapter 1

15-year-old Katherine Marika was walking home from school talking to herself as her got to the steps to her house. She looked up at the empty house and sighed as she went in. She stepped into the house, dropped her backpack onto the couch, and sat down. She noticed something was poking her as she sat down.

"Kevin get your stupid Yu-Gi-Oh cards of the floor and couch or I'll ripe them up!"

"Ok zeesh relax it wont kill ya" her 9 year old brother said to her.

She sighed as her brother walked away. Just them the phone rang and she picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey Marika!" she heard her friend Sonia on the other line, "Ruby wants to know if you want to come over"

"Hey Marika" she heard her friend Ruby say.

"Sure what time?" she asked.

"I dunno in about 20 min" Ruby said.

"Okie ill be right there" she said as she said their byes and hung up.

It takes her about 15 min to get to Ruby's house so she got up and hurried on over there.

She rang the bell and Ruby's mother answered.

"Hello Kat, Sonia and Ruby are waiting in the living room"

"Okie thanks"

As she entered the room she saw her friends giggling in front of the TV.

"Oh my god, why are u 2 watching Yu-gi-oh?!" O.O

"Because some of the guys are cute and its about a pharaoh like my origin" Ruby answered with a grin.

Ruby's family came from Egypt but they never spoke of their last name.

"OOOk so why u want me here?" Kat asked

"Yea Ruby?" Sonia asked too

She headed toward her bedroom and motioned her finger to them to follow her.

"Come" she said

Her room was filled with Egyptian artifacts and jewels. She reached in a box and pulled out a necklace.

"My dad got it while he was tomb digging"

Sonia and Kat awed and stared at the necklace.

"And look it has an eye on it" Ruby pointed out

"Well put it on" Sonia said sitting on her bed

Ruby put her necklace on and a white glow came on.

"What's happening?!" Ruby screamed

Kat shielded her eyes and when she opened them she wasn't at the house anymore.
