The Taming of the Dude

Well Kittens, here's some lovely people we've not seen for awhile. Dawn and Scott :)

~ Dragon

Scott was by no means a sensitive.

With a temper to rival a dragon's and a voice with more nasal than grit, it was partially comical and scary to watch him fly into a fit of rage. Dawn was quite amused by it, usually, because she was the only person who could tell when Scott was seriously enraged or just irritated. This was one of his usual spats, something displeased him, Scott had to rant, and blow off steam, and then everything would be fine.

"Those assholes think they know everything about cars down at the shop-!" He stomped to the fridge and grabbed the orange juice, chugging a few mouthfuls before he shoved the carton back and slammed the door. "The nerve of some people! I how dare they insinuate that..." Today, thank goodness, it was only a irritated day.

Dawn watched him rant, watched his rage flow forth from him like monsoon waves on a fragile beach. But at least he was honest about it. There were too many people who sulked when they were mad, or took it out on themselves or the people they loved and made it their all-time problem. But not Scott. He let it all out in one frightening torrent and then he was calm responsive for the rest of the day- unless he fell asleep, in which case Dawn would have to brush her fingers against the sensitive spot on Scott's ear and all would be well.

The moonchild set her book on herbal remedies down and stood up, approaching her boyfriend like he was doing the most soothing things in the world instead of being on a rampage. She reached her hand out toward's the ginger's shoulder and touched it gently. "Scott? Honey?"

"What-" Dawn's arms encircled Scott's shoulders and her lips met his. After a moment of hesitation- only a moment- the boy's arms wrapped around Dawn's small figure and squeezed her to him, and he gave up all of his anger for the night. The girl pulled back, her soft sherry-colored eyes glowing softly. The freckled boy rested his forhead against hers, breathing her plant-like scent in like it was a narcotic.

"Sorry your day was so hellish," Dawn said as she gave Scott a hug.

The red-haired boy smiled. "Don't be baby- it's better now."
