Was watching Cops and Robbers and since I'm procrastinating this is the result.

They were sat eating dinner, Castle having finally finished his narrative about how many times they'd saved each other, all though he had kept strictly PG, making sure that his mother and daughter didn't know just how close the both of them had come to dying since they had started working together.

Martha and Alexis had begun smiling when Beckett and Castle had started arguing about what was a save and what wasn't. Martha had seen that Beckett had begun to blush, and while it was funny she would be happier if she could head off any more bickering, given that she knew how much they meant to each other.

"So Kate," Martha started, "How come you were so sure that it was Rick using Morse code and not just a reflection?"

Beckett gave Martha a grateful smile and looked at Castle, "Well I knew he knew Morse code and since when can Castle sit and do nothing if he knows something?"

Castle huffed, "Hey no fair."

Martha, Alexis and Beckett all laughed.

"How come you knew he knew Morse code Detective?" Alexis asked.

"Alexis, please call me Kate," Beckett said, smiling at the girl who looked happy to see her even after what happened outside the bank and the recent break up with Ashley, "On a case a while back, when we were waiting for warrants he started tapping. To begin with I ignored it but it got really annoying really quick." She stopped talking for a minute and looked over at Castle and smiled, "I was debating whether to say something or just smack his hand with a folder when I realised that he was actually tapping out letters."

She stopped again and Alexis asked, "What was he tapping?"

"Um…" Beckett said, not remembering.

"Bored, bored, bored," Castle jumped in, smiling.

Martha and Alexis laughed. "Sounds like the Rickard we all know."

Beckett nodded, "When I realised he was actually tapping something rather than just being annoying I decided to have a little fun and tapped back, Shut up Castle, have a little patience."

Castle laughed at that, "If I'm honest it shocked me a little, I didn't really think that people knew Morse code anymore."

Beckett shook her head, "Most people don't, but some cops like to know it for just in case."

Castle and Beckett looked at each other the Castle continued, "Since there was nothing else to do we had a conversation in Morse code, which really annoyed Ryan and Esposito."

"Yeah right up until the point Esposito tapped out that we had the warrant and it was time to go."

Both of them smiled at the memory, Esposito had walked up, stopped by their desk and completely deadpan had tapped out that the warrant was in, and to stop mucking around and get going.

Martha smiled and began to clean up. Alexis and Castle stood to help but when Beckett stood as well Castle looked at her and said, "You're a guest, you're not helping."

Beckett threw Castle and look and said, "I think you'll find I am," she paused, smiled and continued, "And unless you want to have to save your own life shut up and get on with it."

Martha and Alexis overheard this as they walked back in and laughed. "Face it Dad, she wins so you might as well give up."

Castle threw his hands in the air in mock defeat and picked up some of the dishes and passed them to Beckett, "Happy?"

"Extremely," Beckett said, taking the dishes and walking away.

Castle watched her go and smiled to himself, she had said extremely and she had meant it, she was happy in his home with his family, what more could he ask for?
