Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Nor do I own Harry Potter, which is being mentioned a lot this chapter.
I really like mortal POV so I'm going to start a story about it.
Chapter One: Anita
Anita always liked to pretend she lived in a fantasy world. It was easier then living in this one. She loved to imagine she lived as a wizard, went to Hogwarts and could perform magic. She liked to pretend her mom and dad didn't fight. That her older brother didn't run away. She liked to pretend her little sister was still alive.
But she didn't live in a fantasy world. Her parents did fight. Her big brother was nowhere to be seen. And her little sister; Oh, Her little sister was dead. And she had been for a year now. The only person who could bring her back to reality was one Percy Jackson. She would spend her class periods staring at him and not the white boards. Doodle his name instead of taking notes. But he would never go out with her. A stupid, ugly little girl who sat in the middle of the class, a nobody.
No. If he wanted to date someone he could date Sophie, or Annie, or any other popular high school girl. Any other pretty girl, and not some idiot like her. Which is why it surprised her and every other person in the entire classroom when at the end of class Sophie walked up to Percy Jackson and putting on a very flirty smile and said to Percy.
"You got plans this weekend? 'Cause, there's a new movie playing. And I'm letting you take me." Sophie said it so smoothly. Anita guessed she was way used to asking guys out. But Sophie was used to getting her way, and not, what Percy said.
"No thanks, Sophie. Me and my girlfriend are going back to our summer camp." He said it so causally, that one would think he wasn't lying. But Anita was pretty sure everyone though he was.
"Come on Perce. I already like you. I don't need hard to get." Sophie replied easily giggling at the end of the sentence.
"No. I really have a girlfriend. Her name is Annabeth. She currently goes anther boarding school in Brooklyn. I meet her when I was twelve at summer camp. She has shoulder length curly blonde hair and grey eyes. And this year I am finally taller than her." Anita's heart sank. Not that she had a chance anyway, Like he even noticed her. "Goodbye." Percy said, and then left the room.
Lunch was next.
As usual Anita sat alone. Lost in her own fantasy world, and once again re-reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Her books were worn, and she had read them so many times she could recite them word for word. Her own world; Her fantasy word. Maybe some other boy would walk into her life. Though she right now highly doubted it. At least she would always have her fantasy world.
Love it? Hate it? Sorry this one was so short, I'll try and make the next one longer. Was Anita a Mary-Sue? Or was she okay? REVIEW!
