Sora giggled and laughed as he got soaked in the decent-sized river they found. It was a long, weary day of adventures and Heartless and- okay yeah actually there was a lot of Heartless and an Organization member or two at Radiant Garden and not much else.
He splashed Donald, who splashed him back and even Goofy got involved briefly, but he quickly redirected things back "Okay now, you two, remember we're here to get cleaned up and do laundry!"
Sora and Donald gave each other a "this isn't over you little (insert playful insult here)" look and grabbed their clothes and began washing up. After doing the routine for so long, it was a pretty good habit of horsing around while doing laundry.
Sora wrinkled his nose a bit at the sweat stains all over his tank top "Ugh, remind me to loot Organization XIII's hideout to pay for the laundry bill when this is done if I'm gonna get this sweaty."
The three laughed, then as their clothes were set out to dry they swam and played in the water. Sora in particular enjoyed getting all that grease and sweat and occasional bit of blood off of him. He also liked how his hair got less oily like it'd been getting since waking up at Twilight Town.
So after a good long while of mostly just horsing around and floating the three were back in their clothes and were drying off and setting up camp for the night. While Donald and goofy got a good fire going, Jiminy eagerly watched as Sora began his daily routine, a pen ready to sketch out the boy.
He slowly crouched into his ready position. He held it. Held it a little more. He shifted slowly into a strong swing, and repeated. His breathing was even and calm, and he was stiller than a statue. He shifted again onto one knee while striking again slowly-
He stopped, then tilted his head "Hm? What was that Jiminy?"
"Sora, could you wind back a bit? I wasn't quite finished yet."
Sora then reversed with the same speed he'd been going at "Sure thing, Jiminy."
So this continued for probably a half hour, Sora experimenting with every angle and swing he knew of. He even tried Riku's moves once or twice, but as always he didn't like the feeling of them. They were RIKU'S moves. Not his.
So after that they all had some dinner of whatever was lying around the Gummi Ship's stock and soon Donald, Goofy, and Jiminy had all settled down into a peaceful slumber while Sora sat at watch.
He didn't wake anyone up, too busy musing on his own to bother with it, so he spent the whole night watching the stars, thinking about all the crazy things that'd happened, and countless other things teenage boys think of.
The next morning it was easy enough to pack up their things and head out for another busy day.
wee drabbling on what these precious dorks do when they gotta settle in for the night. ahhhhhh I love this.
