Untold Tales
Tale 1-Fortune Telling
I look at the cards that hold the past, present and the future and often wonder what stories and wisdom they are to impart if I were to ask a question. Each card has an illustration just as beautiful and innocent as the last due to its earth-like nature. Fairies enchant these cards and seem to illuminate each card with their own little message as I look them over carefully in question. To shuffle them like a deck of playing cards is out of the question; I would never allow rough handling on these cards that look like tiny masterpieces get torn, bent or ruined before I even have the chance to fully utilize them correctly.
Before I could dare put them away, I noticed a male walk into my tent. I assume it's another love-struck guy who's having a tough time to choose his destiny between love number one and love number two. He imparts his tale of woe to me; telling me of his first love lasting close to a year and yet he's unhappy. He then tells me of someone he had just met and fills him with a love and passion that he wants; however, he cannot truly have due to unseen circumstances with his current partner.
Mixing the cards in a random way, I allow my chi to pour into them to ask the unspoken question that he might be wondering. It was soon I found myself ready to cut it into the traditional three-part spread to conduct my reading of his past, present and future. I drew them from left to right; the first card representing the past, the second the present and the third the future. Slowly, I began to read their meanings to this unknown male and he began to connect the dots.
The cards I had chosen were of the goals he followed, the knowledge he sought by seeing me, and the floating he did between the two he was with. He smiled and thanked me for the reading; assuming he should just go between them without knowing. I truly wish I could have given a better reading however since I fear he might lose more than his worth.
That day, I made a mistake giving that knowledge to the man I later learned by the name of Yamcha.
