"Hi, Morris," Hatter said, twirling a strand of red hair around her finger and staring dejectedly at nothing in particular. "Did you receive any news from the guards about Alice from Queen's? I would think she would have made a more urgent dash for her dear daughter Chloe." Morris simply shrugged.

"Ah, well, we're sure to receive some news sooner or later. It isn't like they can hide forever, after all. Alice is sure to meet her end." Morris studied Hatter for a few more moments. "Are you sure you're feeling all right?" Hatter nodded.

"Yes, I'm fine. I'm just concerned about what's going to come..." Morris scooted closer to her and gave her hand a squeeze.

"No matter what happens, we'll both be together." Hatter nodded, and a tiny smile wormed its way across her features.

"Yes... I suppose you're right." She cocked her head slightly to the side. "I don't know what I would do without you, Morris."
