Fingers traced my eyelids as I slowly woke. A smile spread across my face. "Good morning, my love." Edward said and my heart sped up. He laughed and kissed my eye lids. Opening my eyes I could see his smiling face above me.
He leaned in and planted a soft kiss on my lips. Closing my eyes I tried to go back to sleep. "The sun is out." My arm covered my eyes "Ugh." I groaned as the bright light hit my eyes. I got up and walked to the window. "Not even a cloud." I stated, sad that Edward wouldn't be coming to school with me. "Well, I thought that skipping just one more day wouldn't hurt." He said coming to wrap his arms around me.
"Hello, Bella." She said giving me a hug. "Alice." I said with a smile. Edward had decided that we would spend the day with his family. "Hey, Bella." Emmett said with a smile giving me a hug. "So the human is skipping school. Rebel." I laughed "Oh yeah, total badass." I said sarcastically.
"I have something I want to show you." Edward said with a smile pulling me toward his room. In the center of his room, against the wall, was a huge king sized bed. The sheets were a beautiful gold. "I thought this would be more comfortable than the couch." I looked at him unbelievingly, running my hands through my hair. I was supposed to be staying at the Cullen's this weekend. "It's only two nights. I doubt I need this for just a slumber party with Alice." "A slumber party with Alice was just for Charlie's sake." He said with a smile.
The rest of the day consisted of watching Emmett and Jasper compete in video games. Esme cooked dinner, and Alice painted my nails. She was currently doing my hair, while Edward sat on her bed flipping through a book. "Should I do braids or loose curls?" Alice asked mostly talking to herself. When she was finished with my hair it was beautifully curled. There were two pieces pulled back into an elegant twist and. "It is beautiful Alice." I thanked her with a smile. "Now, time for makeup!" Alice said excitably. I grimaced and I saw Edward smile, in the reflection of the mirror.
Everyone was in the Cullen's huge living room. Alice and Rosalie were on the couch, flipping through magazines. Emmett and Jasper were playing video games while Edward and I sat on the couch, watching them. Carlisle was sitting down talking with Esme about a patient. "Tired love?" Edward asked whispering the question in my ear. But before I could answer, Edward swept me off the couch and ran to his bedroom at vampire speed.
He set me down on the bed gently, and laid down beside me. He wrapped his arms around me as I put my head on his chest. "Goodnight my love." He whispered, kissing my forehead. "Goodnight." I whispered back. That night I fell into a deep sleep, as my angel hummed my lullaby.
