The Demon Within
I wear a mask
And on this façade
They deemed humanity
The sweetness, the benevolence, the grace
All lies that eclipsed
The beast lying inside
The darkness of night
Revealed the truth
Hidden by days bright light
What was once kind and softhearted
Turned cold and unmerciful
Surrounded by walls of ice
Shunned and isolated I fled
Crushed and broken
Like shard of dull glass
I will have my revenge one day
Howling my pain
And screaming my fury
My wish an utter ruin
The endless void
And eternal silence
In a sea of red blood and flame
I will smile a joyous smile
And release the demon within
