This is a story that takes place on our planet, but with a rather different race of creatures than our own. This species is a rather determined species, living in almost any conditions, and refusing to ever give up. Our story focuses on one of these. His name is Rob.

Rob set out one day to find a better home one cloudy morning, and crossed the plains on which he lived. He was determined to find good living conditions—no matter what it took.

He began his search as he reached the coast. He found a boat rental place and rented a boat. As he went out to sea, he saw a large storm ahead of him. It appeared to be a towering column of water. Too far out to turn around, he sat there, terrified. He was somewhat small for his race, but he was a hoper. He believed that beyond the storm would be a better home for him.

Determined to get past the storm, he sailed quite close to it. The storm, however, was not as careful, and scooped up Rob's boat along with Rob. The only option Rob had at this point was to sail over the storm, which would be completely mad. Rob began to row up the storm.

As he neared the top, the rain struck. It pushed him and his boat down away from the storm and back toward the mainland. He found the rain so powerful that he had to wait it out in the boat rental shop.

As the rain ceased and the sun came out from behind clouds, Rob decided to try again. He got back in the boat, went up into the storm, and this time did a fine job of getting over it. As he passed it by, he saw land on the other side. He docked there, and made a new home in the best place imaginable.
