Author Note: I decided to make this a Sequel to A father in her life chapter 10 since so many of you want to know what Nell said to his question.
Four months ago
Callen had asked if Nell would marry him and she knew what her answer would be but she needed to make sure that they would be okay.
"Give me some time to think about it." Nell responded to him leaving him speechless. He never thought that she would do this to him but she knew that they would work it out in their own time.
"Okay." He responded to her. She was worth the wait for him.
Two months ago
Eric and Nell were talking about the marriage idea and of course she had to admit that she was ready to be married but she wanted to make sure that Callen was ready to be married to her. It would be a big change for their relationship that she did not know if he was truly ready to take that step with her.
"So what is with you and Callen lately?" Eric asked her.
"Callen asked me to marry him about two months ago." Nell revealed to him.
"That's great. But wait there is no ring on your finger. Why is that?" Eric responded to her.
"because I told him to ask me again. I just felt that the timing was not right." Nell revealed to him.
"So do you feel that the timing is now?" He asked her.
"Yeah." Nell responded to him "Now only if he would ask me again."
A month later
Callen had arranged for them to take Mia to the zoo for their family day. He had managed to remember to bring the ring and decided to make it special with their daughter.
"I wanted to know again if you would be my wife?" He asked her.
"Yes." She responded to him as he slipped the ring on her finger.
"I love you so much." He said to her.
"I love you too." She responded back to him
