This story is based on HTTYD 2. Something I nthought of when I saw a couple of fan art after...well go ahead and read.
WARNING: IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE...THEN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS!
Toothless tried. He tries as hard as he can to fight off the evil alpha's command. But it was no use, all he could think about was following
the alpha's command. All he heard was fire. He didn't know exactly what to fire at but Drago pointed at a blurred image. He looked at this
strange person and got into a fighting stance. As he slowly approached he heard muffles like
"Knock it off!" or "Snap out of it Toothless"
As Toothless was about to deliver the final blow he heard this person yell no at the top of his lungs. But he didn't follow the order. As
Toothless fired a very powerful plasma blast another human, much bigger than the other pushed him out of the way. The shot hit him
instead.
"DAD!" Hiccup yelled as he tried to see if he was alive. But he wasn't. Toothless snapped out of the trance that he was in and saw that
Stoick was on the floor. Being concerned he slowly went up to his hand and gently nudged it until he felt a violent shove. He looked up
and it was his own trainer.
"Go on get out of here!" Hiccup shoved Toothless' head away again "You stupid dragon get out of here." Toothless heard enough, he
looked down at the ground and ran away as fast as he can. He realized that he was the one who killed Stoick. But it wasn't his fault, he
was told to do it. He had no control. But deep down he knew that this was all his fault. Believe it or not but as Toothless was running
away...he started to shed a few tears. Even though Stoick wasn't his trainer, he was his family. He killed one of his own, and now Hiccup
will be the one dealing with it. As all these thought swarmed the mind of Toothless, the tears fell faster and faster. He just wanted to die
at that exact moment. His trainer didn't want him...in fact he probably hated him. Toothless knows that whatever bad thing happens to
him, he deserves it.
...
"It not his fault...you know that." Hiccup knew it wasn't his fault, he was just upset at the moment. He didn't want Toothless to go. But it
was too late.
After the viking funeral "
"We have no way of getting back home. Drago took all the dragons." said Tuff
Hiccup smiled "Not all of them..."
...
"So what's the plan Hiccup?"
"You guys head to Berk, and do what you can to distract the alpha. Do whatever it takes. I have to find Toothless."
They all nodded in agreement and departed. Hiccup frantically looked for Toothless.
"Toothless?! Bud where are you?" After a few more minutes of searching, he finally found him sleeping in a cove. Hiccup got off and
slowly approached his dragon. Toothless heard a noise and instantly got into a fighting stance. But instantly relaxed when he saw it was
just Hiccup. He avoids eye contact with him.
"Toothless look at me." He refuses. "Toothless it wasn't your fault...they made you do it. I don't want you to blame yourself bud." He puts
his hand on the nose of Toothless.
"Don't blame yourself Toothless. I'm sorry I pushed you away, that was wrong of me. I didn't realize you were under the control of the
alpha. If there's anyone to blame it's Drago. Hiccup gave Toothless a hug C:* I know it's gonna be hard, but it won't be so bad if you stay.
I really hope you stick around...I need you right now." Toothless stood on his hind legs and returned the hug (if you can imagine that).
"Thanks Toothless. Come on let's head back to Berk. We gotta help the others." Toothless nods his head and allows Hiccup to climb on his
back. They fly off towards Berk to defeat Drago.
