PROLOGUE
It's been exactly a year since Chuck received the email from Bryce. His boring life turned into an action-packed, adrenaline rushing of existence. 12 months of lies
and pretense. 48 weeks of pretending and thwarting. 365 days of constant danger and apprehension. He still works at the Buy More with his herd team, which
pretty much didn't changed at all. There's Morgan, his best friend, who is surprisingly still dating Anna. Then there's Jeff who's gotten even more of a pervert. Then
Lester who's usually being himself. And Big Mike who's weight doubled during for the past year. It's been pretty down right boring working at the Buy More. But
hey! He's been promoted to assistant manager.
Then there's his other team, Team Chuck. Consisting of the NSA's ever sardonic Agent John Casey, and the CIA's drop-dead gorgeous, intelligent, ass-kicking, jaw-
dropping Agent Sarah Walker. And of course our adorable nerd, Charles Irving Bartowski. Or you can call him Chuck. Over the past year, Team Chuck has completed
missions successfully with Chuck being ordered to stay in the car every time and did otherwise.
And as for Ellie Bartowski and Captain Awesome, they are 2 weeks away from their wedding.
After the almost-being-put-in-the-bunker episode. Chuck and Sarah became closer as the days went on. They've become the best of friends. You know the more-
than-friends-but-not-lovers type of relationship. At least for now, he hoped so. Although they still maintained their cover, the fake boyfriend/girlfriend thing. They
even decided to move in together, for cover, just a couple of blocks away from Ellie and Devon's apartment. Of course, just to keep a close tab on him. The first
couple of weeks since they've moved were awkward. But they got past that stage. They're comfortable with each other now, which Sarah hated but loved at the
same time.
