I saw the new Peter Pan movie last night and it inspired me to write this poem! Hope you like!

PETER'S KISS

You were my first love
The one who newitched my eyes
Who stole my heart
And captivated my soul

Everything about you made me smile
Your touch surged me with warmth
Your laugh brightened my morn
And the days were filled

We shared everything
And took nothing for granted
The heavens echoed our merriment
And the stars laugh with that memory

You came into my life as a child
For I was once one too you see
I believe then, and I believe now
I do believe, I do, I do.

Nothing can take your place
No one can touch that part
For it is as sacred as birth
And stretches beyond death's realm

Joy breaches its boundaries
Heaven is as close as the earth
Whenever I hear you whistle in the wind
And dance to your tune on the breeze

I shall never forget those days
Which are crested in my mind
And bring tears as I remember
Tears only you can dry

I shall never forget
And I shall always believe
No one could falter my step
Or convince me otherwise

You were my first love
And I am sorry that I must grow up
But no one shall ever have your kiss
I'll see you in my dreams
