Eight year old Hikaru and Kaoru were playing in the courtyard designated for them by their parents. The two were dressed in winter coats and scarfs that covered passed their noses. Also hats that covered their orange hair, with the acceptions of the tips.

Kaoru was catching snowflakes in his mittens and watching them melt slowly into the cloth. And Hikaru was building a snow fort for the two of them to hide in. The fort collapsed again (Fourth time by the way), leaving Hikaru extremely angry.

"Darn it! What the heck is wrong with this thing?" He fumed as he got onto his knees to start over again.

Kaoru smiled at his brother and got down onto the ground, and said. "Do you want some help, Hikaru?" Hikaru didn't answer him because he obviously wanted to do something for Kaoru by himself. Kaoru started to pile snow and pack it down into the start of a wall.

"Kaoru, I can do it myself..." Hikaru mumbled.

Kaoru looked at him sadly. "Oh... Ok." Kaoru looked down at his knees, his eyes filled with tears as he stood up and walked toward the door to go inside.

"Kaoru wait!" Hikaru said, reaching out toward his twin, but being shunned as Kaoru shut the door behind him. He got off of the ground and tried to run after his twin, of which he never wanted to make cry.

He walked inside the door and Kaoru was still there takeing off his winter clothes. Kaoru looked in his direction and looked away in a huff. His bangs whipping against his face only added to his anger toward his brother.

"Kaoru listen..." Hikaru said as he sat down to take off his boots. Kaoru glared at him and proceded to walk away to the large playroom. Hikaru looked down at his mittens that were still on his hands and watched his tears absorb into the soft cloth.

He didn't understand why his brother was so mad, and he didn't like it one bit. He was mad at himself. He thought that he was stupid cause he didn't know what he did wrong, but he didn't think that Kaoru was being fair either. If he didn't know what he did, it couldn't be that bad could it?

Hikaru finished takeing his winter clothes off and walked silently over to the door to peek in at his brother. Kaoru was huddled in a corner and snuggleing a teddy bear that was bigger than him, tears flowing down his face. His cheeks were tinted pink and his eyes were half lidded while he itched at a scrape that was located on his elbow that he got while slipping on some ice earlier that week.

Hikaru listened intently to his twins sobs, tryng to see if he could hear anything signifigant comeing from his brother.

Suddenly an idea struck insode of Hikaru's head. He ran down the large hallways down to the lobby of their estate.

Minutes later, Kaoru heard Hikaru walk in the room. He turned to see him walking toward him with both hands hiding suspisiusly behind his back. Kaoru looked down when Hikaru stopped in front of him, with a sorry smile on his face. He kneeled down to look kaoru in the face, and held out a flower to him that he picked from one of the plants in the lobby.

"You like pretty things, right Kaoru?" Hikaru smiled as his brother took the flower from his hands with care. It was a pink rose from Europe, and it indeed, was beautiful. "It looks pretty Kaoru, like you." Hikaru said and kissed his brother softly on the lips.

"Hikaru?" Kaoru blushed and sniffed the flower that meant the world to him. "Thank you..."

Hikaru hugged his brother and asked him "Can I play with you now?"

Kaoru smiled. "Uh-huh." And Hikaru and Kaoru then went to their room to play, holding hands.
