A/N: Well, After reading the reviews on my last fanfic, I felt like giving up forever. But that's not me. I don't give up. So I tried again. Btw, Ive not proofread this yet so im sure there are a lot of mistakes like i dont think the burkes are catholics or that'd they'd have a I know this dosen't even compare a little to all your fanfics but just tell me if I've improved even 1%

Tears ran down his cheeks as he gazed at her coffin , it was being moved from the Burkes house to the church for the funeral mass. He was still coming to terms with her death. Everytime he heard her name, he would cry. He wasn't himself lately, that's what everyone said. He stayed up late in his room, crying and rarely spoke to anyone, not even his family. But what people didn't realise was that the reason for all this was due to the fact that a piece of his life was missing now. Yes, Leslie.

His mind flashed back to the great times they had together.

"Race you to terbithia, jess" Leslie said with her glowing smile.

"You're on! And this time, Im gonna win" Jess smirked.

"Don't worry, Jess. Ill try to slow down a little so you can keep up with me." She giggled.

"One, two , three..Go!" he said quickly and dashed off.

"Hey!That's unfiar! I wasn't even ready!" She shouted as she dashed off after him.

"Hi Jess! good to see you again." She said sarcaticlly. She had caught up with him.

"I give up" He sighed, sarcasticlly. "I've tried everything in the book" He panted as she overtook him.

He cried as he came back to reality. He realised it hurt more when he remembered her.

"Jess! Come on, we have to reach the chruch in time." May Belle shrieked through the window of the car. Jess knew she was as depressed as him. Leslie was as good as a friend to May Belle as she was to Jess. She had helped May Belle overcome many obstacles, one of which was Janice Avery, the school bully, who later became friends with Jess and Leslie after Leslie had confronted her and learned the truth about why she bullied everyone. Jess smiled as he thought about all the times Leslie had done things which took courage and also, which most of the kids never dared do.

"Jess! Come on!" She shouted again.

"Im coming! im coming!" He shouted back as he strode over to the car.

"My dear friends,We have gathered here today to mourn the death of our beloved Leslie Burke. "The pastor started.

Jess was seated in the front row. On request of Leslie's mother,he had agreed to say the hadn't written anything, he felt he should say what comes to his then the time came and he went up to the podium.

"Um..Hi.."he began, nervously."Leslie," He sighed at the thought of her name.

"Leslie meant everything to me." Tears filled his eyes, "And the truth is, I just can't get over the fact, that i won't be able to see that beautiful smile of hers ever again"He said.

Why'd you leave me Leslie?"It seemed like he was talking to Leslie.

"But it's not your fault.I should have been there for you. I never was any good at making friends, You're the only friend i ever had. And I'm a better person now because of you.I'm sorry that I never should you the appreciation you ,I always had a smile on my face when you were near and you were the one who helped me in times of were the most amazing girl I'd ever met." He sobbed, "There's something I never got a chance to tell you Leslie"He paused, remembering the last time he saw her. That's the first time he realised that...

"I love you, Leslie."

A/N: I know what you're thinking, "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" But please like i said i've never written before and im 13. And also this doesen't even compare a LITTLE to your fanfics but please like i said, just tell me if ive improved even 1% at the least and if you're wondering why its so short, its cause i wrote a lot more but then erased SOO much by mistake!
