Chapter 1:

"No!" I yelled

"Padawan, calm down." Master Windu interrupted me strictly. I ignored him.

"No, I won't die bound to a hospital bed." I took a breathe. "I'll die on the battlefield. Some stupid battledroid will shoot me after I saved countless lives from death." I shook my head and laughed

"I'm not going to die just laying around and doing absolutely nothing." The Jedi Masters gazed at me like I'm a psychopathic monster.

Master Yoda finally spoke "Not up to you this decision is, Padawan."

He looked at me with his kind eyes and even though it was nearly impossible to know what the grandmaster of the Jedi Order thinks, I could tell there was some kind of sympathy to see in his eyes. It was quiet for a while. Everyone was thinking about what I just said...or yelled. Afterwards perhaps yelling wasn't the best way to tell them what I was thinking. They were used to get treated with dignity and respect and yelling isn't a really respectful way to tell someone your opinion.

"But it should be my decision!" I spoke more calm and anxious for my word choice.

"It's my life you're talking about...my death. All I ever did my whole life was fighting against the separatists and now I should stop? Why? I mean, I'll die anyway so why not dying on the battlefield where I could help instead of a hospital bed?"

I looked at everyone and they looked at each other.

"You may leave now, Padawan." Master Windu spoke again.

"But-" I didn't want to go, I wanted to get the permission to come along with my master on his missions.

"You are dismissed." Master Windu said. I sighed. My Master and I bowed and then left the council chamber. He wrapped an arm around my shoulders as we continued our way. I knew why he did that, not because he liked me, even though he did, but because then I couldn't disappear and he wanted me to go to the med bay to rest.
