AN: So I had some kittens and I named them Itachi and Sakura and they were so cute. But Sakura died a week ago and Itachi died the very next day so I am dedicating this fic to them.
I know I should be updating Hollow but this was finished first. And as far as Hollow is concerned, I am trying, but I seem to have a case of writers block. So please bear with me.
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. If I did Itachi would be in every episode.
"Itachi Uchiha. S-class criminal and missing nin of Konohagakure. You have been found guilty of the following crimes. The murders of the Uchiha clan members: Fugaku Uchiha, Mikoto Uchiha, Shisui Uchiha…"
The blonde Hokage continued to list the names of the family he slaughtered. Not that he cared. He didn't regret killing any of them. They were a foolish, power-hungry clan that overestimated their own greatness. They deserved everything they got.
The Hokage continued listing his crimes. "…abandoning your village, treason, the murders of Konoha the shinobi…"
The many nameless, faceless shinobi who made the mistake of crossing his path. The list was long, but he didn't regret it. They were foolish enough to try to stop him and too weak to succeed.
"…and the kidnapping of Sakura Haruno." This one got his attention. His most recent crime. The one that lead to his capture. But he didn't regret it.
"Itachi Uchiha, do you have anything to say before I pass on my sentence?" She looked expectantly at him. But there was nothing to say. He committed all those crimes and more, and he didn't regret his actions. One might think that he would regret the actions that lead to his capture, but he didn't.
He didn't regret kidnapping the pink haired kunochi or trying to use her as bait for the Kyuubi. He didn't regret taking an interest in the young woman or letting her worm her way under his skin.
She was the most fascinating person he'd ever met.
He didn't regret how soft her hair was between his fingers or how her skin seemed to beg to be touched. He didn't regret how she seemed to blush every time he came close to her.
He had been drawn to her like a moth to a flame.
He didn't regret making her angry just to see the fire in her eyes or how her passion had ignited his own. He didn't regret the feel of her lips pressed against his as he lost control for the first time in years. He didn't regret watching her sleep the night after or the way she whispered his name in her dreams.
Simply being in her presence was intoxicating.
He didn't regret his brother attacking him or the way she flung herself in front of him just before the impact. He didn't regret the way her eyes widened when the chidori struck her in the back.
From the start he had known this would end badly, for both of them.
He didn't regret the tears that slipped from her eyes as she told him she wished she could be buried with her parents.
But that knowledge did nothing to ease the sharp pain in his heart as she took her last breaths.
He didn't regret carrying her body through the gates of Konoha and fulfilling her final wish.
She had died for him so the least he could do was honor her last wish.
"Since you have nothing to say, I will proceed. Being found guilty of all the crimes aforementioned, I, the Hokage of the Village Hidden in the Leaves sentence you to be executed immediately." The woman looked at him as if expecting some kind of reaction. There was none.
No. He told himself. He didn't regret it. He didn't regret it at all.
So...What do you think? Is it any good? Does it suck?
