"Daddy…?" The young girl asked in a small voice.

"What is it?" The father responded, his tone seeming impatient.

"Do you miss her?"

He paused, letting out a long sigh and pushing his chair to face her. He was tired, exhausted even. "Weiss, this is the eighth time today you've asked me this. My answer isn't going to change. Why do you keep asking?"

Weiss kept her gaze down to her feet. "It's just… It's…"

"What is it?"

"…If you miss her so much, how could you forget her birthday?"

Reiner froze. "What?"

"You never forgot mommy's birthday… We always went to go visit her and I could talk with her and… You forgot…"

He let out another sigh, rubbing his face. "I'm busy, Weiss. I don't have time for this."

"Daddy…" Tears started to well up at the corner of her eyes.

"We'll go tomorrow. I promise." He turned back to his work.

Funny. Seems he was busy the next day as well…
